In the first chapter of Andrew Kurand's Next Level conversation with Mario Andretti, the two discuss Mario's early days growing up. The best feature of the game is undoubtedly the innovative 'career path' option that tracks your progress from rookie to circuit champion, a really cool feature for its time that sadly wasn't followed by later games. Listen to this episode from Next Level with Andrew Kurland on Spotify. The driving was fair, even for the time, but with six different types of cars. You can drive a Full-Size Open Wheel Indy Style Race Car, or ride along. I'm not a fan of the early 90's 3D polygons in racing games, but Mario Andretti offers some pretty interesting racing action for its time. Driver of the Century Mario Andretti brings you Mario Andretti Racing Experience. It features a fun career mode and a nice selection of different tracks and cars, from Sprint Cars and Stock Cars to Formula 1 and Indy. Nice 3D racing game from Canadian racing game experts Distinctive Software.
